We service more than 200 facilities, spanning 15 million square feet, including secure facilities, high-containment laboratories, and LEED-Certified federal buildings. We provide around-the-clock operation of HVAC systems, plumbing domestic water and waste; electrical systems and emergency generators; and Direct Digital Control (DDC) building automation systems. KEY PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Operations, Maintenance, & Auxiliary Support Services for U.S. EPA Facilities

Location: Andrew W. Breidenbach Environmental Research Center (AWBERC) in Cincinnati, Ohio

Client: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Scope: DAWSON provides all management, labor, supervision, administration, technical support, equipment, transportation, materials, and repair parts to plan, schedule, coordinate, and perform facilities management for the 13 EPA facilities – totaling 642,640 square feet – in the Cincinnati area. AWBERC houses research laboratories, training facilities, and administrative offices and is AAALAC accredited. It is one of the EPA’s largest research and development facilities for water research and hazardous waste management.

Operations & Maintenance Services for GSA PUBLIC BUILDINGS SERVICE

Location: César E. Chávez Memorial Building and Fox St. Garage in Denver, Colorado

Client: General Services Administration (GSA), Region 8

Scope: DAWSON provides management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and supplies and is responsible for the efficient, effective, economical, and satisfactory operation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair of equipment and systems at the César E. Chávez Memorial Building and Fox Street Garage in downtown Denver, Colo. The César E. Chávez Memorial Building is a 10-story, 180,000 square-foot facility that serves as a gateway building into Denver’s Civic and Justice Center and the Golden Triangle Neighborhood.

Consolidated Facilities Management for LAND PORTS OF ENTRY

Location: GSA Northern Minnesota for Four Land Ports of Entry in Northern Minnesota

Client: General Services Administration (GSA), Region 5

Scope: DAWSON provides preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance; custodial; grounds maintenance; and vertical transportation equipment services for four Land Ports of Entry in Northern Minnesota. We support facility operations 24/7/365 for boiler systems, air distribution equipment, HVAC water management, domestic plumbing systems, drains and storm water systems, lighting systems, electrical switchgear and switchboards, emergency power equipment, vertical transportation systems, and architectural and structural systems.

Grounds Maintenance Services for USAFA

Location: U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Client: USAFA

Scope: DAWSON self-performs all grounds maintenance and all snow removal operations at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Our services include landscaping/xeriscaping; snow and ice removal; maintenance of trails; replacement of trees, shrubs, and hedges; erosion control; litter removal; screening; turf and synthetic turf maintenance; cemetery grounds, funeral and gravesite support; and airfield maintenance. Services also include football stadium maintenance, irrigation, NCAA athletic field maintenance/preparation, mowing of semi-improved and unimproved grounds, and herbicide treatment.


Landscaping, Grounds Maintenance, & Related Services for GSA

Location: Denver Federal Center Campus, Lakewood, Colorado

Client: General Services Administration (GSA), Region 8

Scope: DAWSON furnishes all personnel, labor, equipment, materials, tools, supplies, supervision, management, training/certifications, and services to perform the most efficient landscaping and grounds maintenance services for the campus. The Denver Federal Center (DFC) is located adjacent to the foothills of the Colorado Rockies and is only minutes from downtown Denver. The DFC houses 28 different agencies in 44 federal buildings, totaling four million square feet of rentable space, occupying the 623-acre campus.


Range Maintenance Services for FBI

Location: El Toro Range Jerry Crowe O&M, Irvine, CA

Client: DOJ FBI

Scope: DAWSON provides facilities maintenance services to include facility Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and janitorial services to maintain the Jerry Crowe Regional Tactical Training, administration, and range operation facility located in Irvin, California. The facility consists of a 5,000 square foot administration facility, a 2,000 square foot classroom building, an outdoor 2,000 square foot shoot house complex, five 500 square foot ammo bunker warehouse buildings, a 1,700 square foot range support building, 3,000 square feet covered 12 position breaching station, and 2 range complexes—one with 40 firing positions and one with 25 firing positions. Additionally, these facilities are surrounded by 900 acres of open land with approximately 29,000 linear feet of security fencing around the perimeter. DAWSON’s scope of work includes the following: Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services [preventive, corrective, and emergency]; janitorial services; weapons range target maintenance; weapons range lead extraction; weapons range berm raking; weapons range filtration system cleaning; pest control; grounds maintenance services; snow removal services; horizontal roadway / parking surface maintenance; roof inspection / repair; general supplies; trash removal; portable toilet – rental / maintenance; and fire alarm / equipment testing and repair services.

Preventive Maintenance & Repair Services for NIH

Location: Cogeneration Facility Central Utility Plant in Bethesda, Maryland

Client: National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Scope: DAWSON provides preventive maintenance and repair services for the complex equipment and systems located at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Cogeneration Facility (Cogen) located on the NIH main campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The Cogen is a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week operational facility. The Cogen is powered by the Siemens SGT-600 gas turbine, which drives the electricity production from the Cogen.

BASEOPS Preventive Maintenance & Corrective Maintenance Services

Location: 88th Readiness Division Facilities in St. Louis Region

Client: 88th Regional Support Command (RSC)

Scope: DAWSON provides all personnel, equipment, tools, vehicles, materials, supervision, subcontracts, and other items and services necessary to perform all scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and facility management support tasks and functions for designated sites and facilities within the 88th Readiness Division, St. Louis Region. Our technicians complete PM and CM work for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, and other building systems at 17 facilities and 77 buildings (722,960 cumulative square feet), across two states.

Maintenance & Repair Services for AC Equipment & DDC Systems

Location: Oahu, Hawaii

Client: Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH)

Scope: DAWSON provides preventative maintenance/corrective maintenance (PM/CM) for 144 air conditioning systems. This consists of chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, split AC units, Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, and water treatment and testing throughout 32 buildings at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, including the headquarter buildings of the Pacific Air Forces, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, INDO-PACOM, and the Pacific Fleet. DAWSON also services the units contained in secure facilities requiring various clearance levels.
